Worked great out of the box. Seems to only last 12 months but easy enough to replace.

This fixed my oven. It was a good fit for our whirlpool gas oven, which was probably made back in the year range 2011-2013. The old, bad igniter/glow bar lit up but the oven gas valve started opening poorly causing it to take forever to heat, until ultimately it completely stopped opening the gas valve at all. To connect the new replacement, I cut off the ends of the old connector and and used the included wire nuts, though you may need to replace then with better wire nuts if one falls off. It may not matter which wire orientation or polarity when reconnecting, but I tried to match with the wire positions at the igniter and plug of the old one. I replaced the igniter on my Frigidaire FFGF3013LWA gas range with the ERP IG9998 Universal Gas Range Oven Igniter and it has been working flawlessly ever since.This universal igniter is a solid match for the Frigidaire FFGF3013LWA model. It fits perfectly with no modifications needed the mounting holes line up exactly the connector plugs right in and the length and shape are spot on for proper positioning in the oven. Replacement is well made, looks just like original except for the harness/connector. It does seem that the wire insulation is a bit thinner but not significantly.- Replacement part comes with 2 metal flaps, mine had just one (on a Frigidaire ES340 FGFL79DSA Gas Range). Also, when installed, the actual element sits a bit lower that the original (maybe 1/4in).- I broke the head of one of the original screws so I installed the new igniter with just one screw. I guess they get brittle after all these years of use.-I left original wires a bit long to connect the new ones from the top as opposed to working under the range (less comfortable), and then push them through and tuck them under.- I used some dryer duct tape to secure the cap connectors as they do not bite as tight as I'd like.Some …

So far the igniter is working well. Installation was simple and while the unit it was replacing only has one tab for installation on the right side of the burner, the ERP IG9998 has mounting tabs on both sides. Depending on the oven, the unused tab may get in the way of installation, in which case, you can simply bend the unused tab out of the way.Installation is quite simple:First unplug the oven; most Kenmore and other similar ovens connect a relay to the neutral line instead of the hot line, thus even when not heating, one line going to the igniter is live at all times when the oven is plugged in.On the old igniter that you want to replace, cut the wire close to the old igniter. *UPDATE*After almost 5 years this igniter is still going strong. I haven't had a single issue with it. Im really happy with this purchase.*FIRST REVIEW*So I literally just finished installing this igniter on my Kenmore 790.71399702. I ended up having to replace the original igniter after my wife discovered our oven failed to heat up with little to no heat. I called Sears and they wanted to charge me $120 to come out, so I went to YouTube and discovered the issue could be due to a failed igniter. Sears wanted another $120 for the part, so I came here to Amazon where I found this universal igniter for $19.
